• Du kan bilda plural med de flesta substantiv genom att lägga till ett -s.
• Substantiv som slutar på konsonant + y får ändelsen -ies i plural.
• En del vanliga ord som slutar på -o blir -oes i plural.
• En del ord som slutar på -f eller -fe blir -ves i plural.
• De substantiv som inte kan bilda plural kallas okräknebara substantiv.
