• Reflection symmetry (Line Symmetry or Mirror Symmetry) One half is the reflection of the other half.
• rotational symmetry The image is rotated (around a central point) so that it appears 2 or more times.
• point symmetry Is when every part has a matching part: At the same distance from the central point but in the opposite direction.
• probability How likely something are to happen
• isosceles triangle A triangle with two equal sides and two equal angles.
• Equilateral triangle A triangle with three equal sides and three equal angles, always 60°
• Scientific Notation a way of writing numbers: Just the digits, with the decimal point placed after the first digit, followed by × 10 to a power that puts the decimal point where it should be.
• Quadrilateral It has four-sides, it is 2-dimensional, closed (the lines join up), and has straight sides.
• equality Having the same amount or value.
• inscribe To draw on the inside of, just touching but never crossing the sides.
• perimeter The distance around a two-dimensional shape.
• consecutive numbers Numbers which follow each other in order, without gaps, from smallest to largest.
• mode The number which appears most often in a set of numbers. Example: in {6, 3, 9, 6, 6, 5, 9, 3} it is 6 (it occurs most often).
• mean value The average of the numbers. Calculate: add up all the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are.
• median The value separating the higher half from the lower half of a data sample, a population, or a probability distribution. For a data set, it may be thought of as "the middle" value.
